NB Surveys (United Kingdom)
NB Surveys Ltd. was established in 1982 by Gordon and Douglas Niven.
The business grew steadily over the years through excellence of service and
repeat customer orders. Our core business was specialist surveying services
including, at that time, land, hydrographic and engineering surveys with a
particularly emphasis on the emerging oil and gas business in the waters
around the UK.
Key events in the companies growth were :-
Our current Aberdeen office can accommodate a staff of up to 50 personnel in support of our offshore operations and is located in the very centre of the City of Aberdeen.

Completion of a year long trial for Shell UK that lead to the worldwide development of precise dimensional surveys for process pipe work eliminating the need for field fit welds offshore and on site, saving the oil operators millions of dollars. |

Allan Pringle (MD)
Graduating from Glasgow University with a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Topographic Science, Allan worked in land and civil engineering surveying for 14 years. During that time he rose to the position of Senior Project Surveyor, before returning to Glasgow University to attain his
Masters degree in IT and software development.
He joined the N.B. Surveys family in 1997 as Engineering Surveyor and quickly adapted his existing skills base to meet the rigours of the Oil and Gas industry.
Prior to accepting his current position, Allan developed his managerial skills in the role of Survey Manager, and latterly as Global Director of Survey Operations.
