NB Surveys have already carried out extensive contracts in the region and the growth in the Middle East market was ratified with the appointment of a local agent in April 2010. Pre qualification for the main contractors in the UAE namely Adma, Zadco and Gasco has already been undertaken and the Company is now positioned to offer a local service centre for dimensional control, laser scanning and 3D CAD modelling services to supply the demand for as-built archives both within the UAE region and the neighbouring countries of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Equipment is held in country allowing fast response to mobilisation requests. Site operations are carried out by Indian Nationals with appropriate supervision from a range of expatriate nationals working within the NB Surveys group of companies. Our goal is to provide a low cost regionalised service that works closely with our clients to provide a best in class service working to international standards.

Gordon Niven (Director UK & ME)

It was while carrying out weekend and vocational survey work during his studies for a degree in Topographic Science at Glasgow University, that Gordon decided to establish NB Surveys with his brother Douglas. Within one month of graduating in 1982 with a B.SC. (Hons) degree, the company was formed. From the outset the discovery of Oil and Gas in the

In the early years he developed techniques and successfully carried out dimensional control surveys for a multitude of International Companies. He successfully steered the UK Company through a period of rapid growth to its Global presence as a market leader in dimensional control and laser scanning and has now accepted the challenge to do the same in the Middle East Region.
