NB Surveys Kirpalaney is a recently formed joint venture operation in India. The joint venture although at this moment not material in a quantitative sense, is considered important strategically, as it will provide a low risk entry into a high growth region of the Middle East and India. The joint venture is formed through an agreement with Mr. Ramon Kirpalaney ex Managing Director of WorleyParsons Kirpalaney in India. The objective of the company will be to engage in the business of providing services in connection with engineering surveys, topographic surveys, hydrographic surveys and building surveys and surveys of similar nature for use in connection with projects and undertakings of every description through rapid laser scanning, dimension control, digital photography, 3D CAD modeling and monitoring systems and design, development, testing and implementation of solutions and software for survey services. The joint venture will also provide a platform for delivery of NB Global services to existing clients in the Middle East region and will give a large resource base to support other NB Surveys business and a high value engineering resource pool of surveyors and modellers. In turn access to the NB Surveys Global brand will allow the joint venture to access other international markets not currently available to it. It will provide personnel development of its staff through greater training and project opportunities.

Ramon Kirpalaney (MD)

Mr. Ramon Kirpalaney graduated in Engineering from Toronto, Canada in Metallurgical Engineering in 1983. Immediately after graduation he joined Chemicon Engineering Consultants Private Limited an offshoot of MONECO International Canada, who were the first project consultants for the 235 MWe CANDU Reactor in India, later to become the Executive Director of the Company.

The company then 100% his in 1994, was branded as Kirpalaney & Associates (Engineers) Private Limited.

In 2006 he was instrumental in bring WorleyParsons to India under a 50:50 joint venture with Kirpalaney & Associates (Engineers) Private Limited and established WorleyParson Kirpalaney, he being the Managing Director and CEO of the entity. In 2008 WorleyParsons offered to acquire 100% of the company. At that time the Company had over 200 employees and totally integrated into the WorleyParsons way of operations.

Mr. Kirpalaney during his tenure of over 23 years has interacted, associated and worked with the largest oil, gas petrochemical, refinery and power engineering consultants, EPC contractors and ultimate owners worldwide. Involved with projects from concept to commissioning on design and detail engineering and also been involved with providing short term technically qualified personnel to clients. The services performed have been reliable, good and met all commitments on time and costs.
